The MSU Internal Medicine Residents receive stipends, benefits, and educational reimbursements through Graduate Medical Education, Inc. (GMEI). GMEI is the non-profit graduate medical education consortium for the Lansing-East Lansing community. GMEI is a partnership of excellence between the Lansing hospitals (Ingham Regional Medical Center and Sparrow Health System) and Michigan State University (the Colleges of Human and Osteopathic Medicine). GMEI’s mission is to support partner institutions in their efforts to provide excellent medical education in the Mid-Michigan Region through diverse, quality educational experiences in a collaborative environment.
